FEAR
Diane Ward
I’m a retired teacher after 24 years. I graduated college with a degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in art education. I enjoyed teaching students how to write and illustrate their stories, and then I decided to write my own. I draw ideas from my own life and issues that children deal with.
I live in central Florida, but I’m from northeastern Pennsylvania, where we have a big, loving family. I have three wonderful daughters and four grandchildren. I love children and all their sweet characteristics. I admit I fear snakes, so I can relate to my characters who experience the same things I do.
I like the four seasons, especially fall. I get inspired when the leaves turn the colors of fire on the mountains. Not only do I have a passion for writing, but I also like to paint, hike, cross-country ski, travel, and garden.
